How many of you train in shoes?
I wear Nike running shoes most of the time... I have worn the TKD kicking shoes, but they're a bit too generic now. Adidas has been making MA shoes for some time now, but I'm not sure if they're still doing that. If so, I may just get me a pair. The worst shoes are those kung-fu shoes with the rubber soles. I don't really get them... Why are these shoes made for kung-fu when you can't even stand, let alone fight in them? The best way to use them is to take them off and whack someone with them... Now, that hurts.

get shoes that are light, comfortable, and durable. I 'll have to check out adidas ma shoes sometime later. .intriguing. as far as the kung fu shoes.. I don't understand it either. I can tell just by looking at them that they'll be painful upon impact or something

I don't understand kung-fu shoes (or slippers). You don't need to dress like in traditional Chinese garbs to do Kung fu.
Besides, they aren't very good in the wet!

When I'm bouncing i wear those shoes with a steel-toe-thing. Quite nice when you kick someone in the shin with it..:P

On crouchting tiger hidden dragon Jade fox has shoes with spikes that come out. Perhaps we should make some of them. And how about a staff that shoots out blades and ropes. Who needs skill when you've got technology.

I have an old pair of Herman Survivors that I'll wear on occasion when working the bag. I put a piece of Duct tape over the lace hooks so my bag doesn't get ripped up. Put on a pair of regular shoes after a good session and you feel like your flyin.
Also, Al Dacascos used to say that he made his son Mark train in boots much of the time. William Spanky, do you still have those Ninja Tabbi shoes?
