![]() | Real life street fights are normally quite short. because they are in uncontrolled enviroments. I.e. objects that can be used as weapons, bar stool,bottle, ashtray, brick,beer glass,knife, anything can be a weapon. Also other people interviening. etc. So the usual shortness of the fight makes it usually very explosive. And strength can be very explosive, so i'd say strength. But in a martial art / self defence combat, But in the ring, its different. The stamina and supplness etc become more important. |

| Registered User | Doubleouch, I respect your opinion, but you really seem to have bought into Mr. Thornton's "self-defense is a dead-end, and you might as well buy a gun instead." I agree with Choke in saying that explosive strength is very valuable/useful/necessary. How about adding 'hitting power.' If you don't have power behind your strikes and blows, you can just forget it.
