Real life street fights are normally quite short.
because they are in uncontrolled enviroments. I.e. objects that can be used as weapons, bar stool, bottle, ashtray, brick, beer glass, knife, anything can be a weapon. Also other people interviening. etc. So the usual shortness of the fight makes it usually very explosive. And strength can be very explosive, so i'd say strength. But in a martial art / self defence combat, But in the ring, its different. The stamina and supplness etc become more important. |

Doubleouch,
I respect your opinion, but you really seem to have bought into Mr. Thornton's "self-defense is a dead-end, and you might as well buy a gun instead." I agree with Choke in saying that explosive strength is very valuable/useful/necessary. How about adding 'hitting power.' If you don't have power behind your strikes and blows, you can just forget it.
