Hi guys ( and gals)

My chaotic brain came up with something
Would it be usefull for MMA to be able to do a 1 or 3 inch powerpunch? I mean, wouldn't it be nice to be able to generate a lot of power even if you do not have a lot of room e.g. when lying on your back in guard?

I mentioned BL because he was known for it but there are others that have techniques like this ( Minoru
Mochizuki of yoseikan budo for one)

Doesn't the 1 inch punch rely on the body to help generate power. It would be pretty hard to do it on your back. If it was effective then someone would have done it by now.

It does butsome guys luke Bas Rutten are able to hit harder than most while on the ground, it only take a small bodymovement to generate the power, maybe it is possible to do so on the ground
