This is a reply to whether or not BJJ will become innefective. Here are my thoughts and of course they are my opinions but i bet most of you will agree. BJJ was extremely effective in the beginning of the 90's purely due to people not knowing how to respond to it and work with it. However now that just about everyone cross trains a stand up fight with a ground game, people need to realize that martial arts needs to be constantly evolving, to be effective on the cutting edge. Most fighters dont feel uncomfortable about someone pulling them into thier guard anymore. Most fighters are very comfortable with "grounding and pounding" thier opponent. There are also many other situations where BJJ guys use to have the upper hand but now will find that more fighters are just getting comfortable with all these BJJ techniques. So with having said that, i believe that YES if BJJ doesnt start evolving out of the traditional BJJ realm, then it will eventually not be an effective style anymore.
