Those quotes may be from the Hagakure.
Mixed Martial Arts, Thaiboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Combat Submission Wrestling, Jeet Kune Do, Women's Self-Defense, Boxing and Filipino Martial Arts
Okay, here they go:
"If a Samurai's head were to be suddenly cut off, he will still be able to complete one more action with certainty."
"The way of the Samurai is one of immediacy. It is better to dash in, headlong..." I forgot the rest.
The reason why I asked is because I heard them on that movie "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai" and thought it may have been the work of Miyamoto Musashi... but am unclear, as I could find none of these quotes in the book. Anyway, I apply that quote to the video game Halo and it really seems to work. But does anyone know where these quotes come from? If so, please let me know where and I will be eternally grateful. Thanks.
"Even if one's head were to be suddenly cut off, he will still be able to do one more act with certainty. With martial valor, if one becomes like a revengeful ghost and shows great determination, though his head is cut off, he should not die." - Yamamoto Tsunetomo

That's a compliment. Judging by your reaction that must be a rarity around here.![]()

One ring to rule them all
One ring to find them
One ring to bring them all
and in the darkness BIND THEM
If you're looking for FIVE rings then I would advise going to mortal men doomed to die, I hear they have nine. Don't bother with the dwarves, only three were given to the dwarf lords in their halls of stone...
Enemies Strengthen,
Allies weaken.
UUuuhh... okay.

Thanks, everyone, for your help. I picked up Hagakure at a book/movie/music store called Hastings in Galveston, TX. while visiting family there. It's a great book and I love every word of it. I've been able to successfully interpret most of everything in it... the only things that don't make sense to me are the Haikus. Thanks, again, for your help, all.
