Yeah, this brings us back to the kind of gym that lifers train at vs. builders. When you go to a builder gym, you get people socializing, state of the art design, so-so music...

at the lifter's gym the music is hard and loud, there are no windows for distractions, no AC; instead a couple of mounted electric fans and nothing but free weights, serious training and talk about training.

Lifter's gyms are getting harder and harder to find these days.

I think it's that reason why I'm more leaning away from the acupuncture and more towards exercise physiology now. I think if I could open up my own gym, dedicated to functional fitness and for powerlifters, strongmen, combat athletes, and people who just want to get strong, I might at least be able to make a living out of it. Tough to say though.

Sounds like a good idea, Koto Ryu.

Maybe you could study accupuncture afterwards, and offer that service to your clients as well. A good friend of mine qualified in fitness training, and went back to do a 2 year massage course so that when he starts working as a personal trainer, he'll be able to be his clients' masseur as well.

It'd be tough to work around that kind of schedule if I ever got it up and running, but who knows, maybe
