| Advanced | Fighter of the year: Royce Gracie Instructer??? Well maybe Royce since he is coming to my place December.Or maybe Renzo since I will have a private with him this summer. But my instructer keeps the quality of instruction so high,he has my vote.

![]() | I would have to go with my instructors.Robert Follis, cause he teaches alot.Next would be Matt Thornton cause he is the owner and source of all our good seminars and guest instructors.Including his own instruction. Then would be the guest instructors.I cant see any reason to vote for people I havent trained with . |

![]() | Instructor of the year would be my teacher, Rey Diogo. We all respect our teachers but if you saw in another post, I have trained with a lot of black belts. If you take the criteria of instincts, passion and care of a teacher, I have only met one that wants you to learn as much as possible. Rey not only shows moves and techniques, he wants you to show him, either on himself or with your partner, that you know the move. I have yet to meet another instructor that will be as passionate as him about BJJ. |

![]() | I have to second sweep's vote. Rey is so into class that he's often exhausted afterwards. He spends most of his time running back and forth correcting us when we are screwing up the position he's teaching. His mind is 100% focussed on the information he's conveying. Plus, he always gets on the mat and puts us (gently) in our place to show us how its REALLY done in sparring. Exxxaaaaactly. For competitor of the year, Id have to say Sakuraba without a doubt. |
