Yes i think this fundamental difference will allow the MT guy to win.

The only way a TKD guy will win is with a kick to the head, most other sruff will be blocked and the MT footwork is very advanced.

Thisallows the MT guy to move around the TKD guy with out them being able to easily keep up.

I chose MT myself dor these very reasons and others.

We have a guy that teaches TKD down here by the name of master Lee. I don't know if any of you have heard of him but he is a really big name guy. He is suppose to be one of the best TKD guys in the world. He grew up in Korea and trained there all his life and then moved to the U.S. The guy is pretty old but he is a grandmaster at TKD, Judo, and Hapkido.

I wouldn't bring this up but I think that it is interesting that everytime I have seen him in an open match he very seldom uses TKD techniques, most of the time he uses Judo. The guy doesn't compete anymore but he still teaches. He has moved away from teaching TKD and teaches Judo more than anything now.

This might have something to do with why we think TKD is so bad over here. When asked why he is moving away from TKD he says that he has found no one that is willing to do the training necessary to become good at TKD. He said that out of the hundreds of people he has trained not one of them would last much more than a minute with most TKD guys back in Korea.

Maybe alot of the reason is that people are just not as dedicated as they should be to get good at TKD. I know that I have seen him preform and he is excellent and could tear most of us apart easily even in his old age. I don't know what I could do against him because we have never went against each other (I respect him enough not to challenge him). I have fought many of his student and some of his better students and I have never lost against them, but I know none of them are his caliber either.

Yes but you are looking at probably one of the best from a system.
Thats not accurate and ou have to take the average.
You said you culd beat all of his students you have fought.
I would not train at his gym, i would train at yours.

Makes sence.

You don't have to worry about me training at his gym.

I want to learn something I can actually use.

I notice some of the guys that take TKD came in here and no one has voted for TKD. Does that mean all the TKD guys admit MT is better?

Yes it must do.

All the TKD guys now think MT is better and that TKD is for girls.

Oh by the way, anyone who votes for TKD automatically becomes a bed wetting girl.

Na, I think if you vote for TKD you were already a bed wetting girl.

TKD is good for little kids though. You know you have to give them something simple that they could understand and keep up with. Maybe that is why they invented TKD.........so the kids could have something to do while all the adults were out training in MT.

Yea, what is the oldest age you should be allowed to train in TKD at before you have to move on to something you can actually use?

I am voting for around 6-7yrs. old......by then the kid would get bored with TKD and be ready to master something were actually taking........besides if the kid starts at 5yrs. old and takes it for 1-2 yrs. he will have a black belt aleady anyway........lol

Thai bri

Roundhouse kick. What. That is kickboxing you know the rip off Muay Thai. They named the crescent kick a roundhouse kick.
People in Thailand hate the word roundhouse. You ain't even kicking over a house.

I yeah and that kick the crescent kick that you a preferring to isn't as strong as the normal side kick. All the power is from the floor baby.

A teep is strong than a crescent kick.
