You can use once youve taken the person down. Knock them on their ass then **** with their nervous system.

I personaly don't beleive in it but I have never actualy studied it or tried to apply it in a combat situation.

That is my opinion.

i believe this is the highest form of technique there is in martial arts. most people are skeptical because of its internal basis. it is very hard to accept something so effective and yet so different from yourself. what i mean by this is that taking your opponent down with force is simpler to understand than knocking him out with a simple touch. dim mak is not something magical like most people see it. it works on a very exact science, although it doesnt exist in western medicine. this science will teach you how the flow of energy(chi in chinnese and ki for japanese) in the body works and in turn you will learn how to heal it(accupuncture) and how to stop it(dim mak). this is however different from nerve point striking wich is comonly used by the art of original ninjitsu. "chi" or "ki" is not something physical like nerves but rather pure energy. dim mak takes a very long time to learn actualy there's this saying that dim mak mastery takes three life times to master. any way if you want to learn dim mak you should look up the arts that uses it. which is taiji quan or tai chi, shaolin(specifically eagle, crane, mantis, and dragon), jit kune. there are more but i cant seem to recollect them...anyway try looking up erle montegue he teaches a much more practical way of learning dim mak but even he learned dim mak from the greatest masters in china for more than 30 years so this aint no ordinary art.

I actually think we in the West have miss spelled the name of the art, and its followers, in our clumsy translation of the name of the art. It should actually be Dim Fook.

There are many Dim Fookers about, and all of them, by definition, believe in theories such as this. A true Dim Fooker readily accepts the mystical and even believes that the absnce of proof from medical science reinforces its authenticity.

Dim Fookers never display their prowess against non believers as these infidels do not deserve to be shown these wonderful ways. Instead they prove their theories on people who already beleieve and the worthy can often be seen pretending to be hurt by jack shit in demonstrations etc.

Dim Fookers also believe in Ghosts, Alien Abductions and Santa Claus.

Eastern medicine is growing rapidly in the west because alot of ancient practices can be explained by western science and medicine. The reason why we are exploring them now and not when they were formulated is because during their invention, the US was a collective herd of Mongoloid hunting-gathering tribes and Europe was controlled by Caesar. When qi concepts were discovered, the Chinese new they discovered something and the best description they could come up with is the character 'qi' which means gas or steam.

Qi (chee) or ki is the character for steam and has many interpretations and variations. Its more of a concept than it is a true force. Traditional Chinese martial artists and some old school Korean martial artists practice qi breathing. I believe that such qi breathing excercises have a positive effect on circulation and even preparing the body for extreme physical exertion, but cannot stop a person 10 feet away or debilitate an opponent with touch alone.

Qi for health = good.
Qi for self defense = crazy.

I will give my now standard answer to claims of the paranormal. Most humans would like to be wealthy, if not wealthy and famous. Even if you are a philathropic sort of person, you'd like to have money just to give away to your causes. There is no debating this assertion--I'd say 99% of humans on Earth would rather have $10 million dollars than not have $10 million dollars.

The average purse for a heavyweight title fight is somewhere in the vicinity of $10 million. So if you could knock someone out with you ki/chi/the force/magic /etc., you'd go fight the heavyweight champion of the world and knock him out and be $10 million richer. End of story. No practioner of dim mak is actually able to beat a top notch heavyweight boxer, therefore they make their money peddling charlatanism to the guillable. If not heavyweight boxing, whatever, pick your contact sport. If you could go around pressing a "button" on people and knocking them out and/or killing them, you would be rolling in money.

The non-violent claims of chi are subject to this same line of reasoning. If you could heal people with your magical powers, you'd be curing cancer, AIDS, SARS, Parkinson's, diabetes, etc. You could obviously put doctors out of business quickly. And people would rather someone waive their hands over their afflicted body then get poked, prodded, cut, medicated, etc. Since no practioner of magical healing arts has come close to the efficacy of Western medicine (which isn't all that effective to begin with, but that's for another rant....), we can safely conclude no one has these powers. Instead these charlatans also prey upon the ignorant and guilable.

Humans always want to be compensated for their talents, and hopefully, make a nice living off of something they have invested a great deal of time and study in. Its absurd to claim that someone would go out of their way to avoid the millions of dollars that would come their way if they could actually do the sorts of things that people claim they can do.

You're totally worng! Of course a Dim Fooker could beat a heavy weight champion! As long as he could wear his special Dim Fook Gloves. The ones with a chain saw attached to them..........

The qi breathing that I refer to is really an excercise for breath control - done meditatively, it lowers blood pressure; in short explosive bursts it can prepare you for heavy lifts.

Imagine how good breath control could help you during a few hard rounds of sparring.

I agree; passing a hand over someones stomach wont rid them of any serious illness thats plain bullshitzu.

Although I have been disagreeing with Thai Bri here lately I am gonna have to side with him this time. I think Dim Mak (dumb fook) is a bunch of BS. If you ask me it looks like there is another troll on the board...........

Kleyman, Masterofnothing, Silverwolf..........is that you?

I have beat you down 3 times on this board already and you keep coming back for more. I have to give you credit though you are not discouraged very easily. I just wish that you would talk about something else besides Dim Mak (dumb fook) so it would be more of a challenge to find you.
