![]() | I practice 2 different sword styles, one is Ono ha itto ryu kenjutsu, one is Enshin Ryu Iaijutsu. I think the reason they arent mentioned much here is because these forums are very much H2H / practical defence Based. The reason for sword training is not really to learn how to fight with a sword in defence of yourself. It is far more to do with teaching timing, control, focus, balance, awarness and for some it is a spiritual disipline most of which are very applicable to defence. So shall we discuss swordplay then?? especially since toe is having a hernia in anger that it is never discussed! |

![]() | When i began learning to use a sword(very recently) I never expected that i would be walking down the street and have to try to defend myself with it. Some swords can be concealed, a friend of mine has a bamboo walking cane that is actually a katana, the handle is bamboo and so is the sheath, they meet at a joint in the "bamboo" and dammit its no hernia im having a coniption fit lol.
