As for Sapp having a good chin...
Everytime he gets someone that can hit him he goes down in 1-2 punches. He cant take shit from a good striker. The only times he wins is if he fights someone that cant figure out how to hit him. The guy is just a freak of nature and a hell of a lot of roids. |

FFS!, Tyson would punch holes in Sapp.
For his size, Sapp would have to be the biggest pussy iv'e ever seen, the worst technique along with the softest chin.

it seems that people here don't like nor respect sapp too much. despite his loss to hoost (his only fight i saw) i'd think sapp would be a very formidable fighter by his sheer size. i would place my bet on tyson though because of his sheer striking power.
but either way, i think there is something we can all agree on. this fight is going to bed one for the books... not necessarily a martial arts book but that book that tallies dollars and cents from viewership revenues.

Sorry if I missed it, but has this fight been confirmed yet?
And yes, Tyson will knockout Sapp.

It depends on who knows the others techniques better.
I know that Bob Sapp is the one of the biggest figures in MMA today, but you have to realize that even though he is NO where near what he used to be, Mike Tyson is still a dangerous opponent. If this were the Mike Tyson of the 80's, this discussion should not even be happening. Sapp does have some advantages, and is a powerful striker himself, but if Tyson fights anywhere near the way he did in his prime, I doubt that Sapp would last more than a few rounds. Sapp Advantages 1. Height 2. Weight 3. Reach 4. Style(more versatility) Strategy: Use reach to keep Tyson at bay with jabs and low kicks, and tie him up once he gets on the inside(like others in the past) Tyson Advantages 1. Power 2. Aggressiveness 3. Reputation 4. Speed Strategy: If he has the mobility, Bob and Weave his way in like he did in his prime and pound against taller opponents away at Sapp's body, and then go for the head. Anticipate low kicks, and counter in with shots to the body.

Sapp doesnt have good reach. He cant even extend his arms. His punches consist of him throwing short hooks and swinging his arms. Hes not really better then he was, he was never good to begin with. He was just massive, the guy has no MA talent hes just a tank, a tank that cant take punches. He never really throws kicks because he cant get a good turn in his body, too overloaded with muscle. He doesnt have style, he just comes at you full force and tries to knock you down before you can get a shot in. Then if you do relys on refs to win the fight for him, which usually happens.
Tyson has a lot of advantages over Sapp. Sapp only has the size and Tyson makes up for that with his power. If this fight ever happened Sapp would go down hard and very fast. Tyson just has too much experience and Sapp is clueless if it doesnt turn into a brawl. If tyson keeps his head and boxes at all he will take the fight easily. |

You might be wrong about Bob Sapp Power. He is a big man and kimo is not the last one to get knock out.To name a few top fighter,He has K.o.Earnesto Hooste & Remy Bj.and many others.I'm not a big fan of Bob Sapp.He is big ,slow, unconditional and Big mouth,I do admire his courage. Those who take him for granted have fallen to their knees.Only the fighter with the full ability of K-1 have put him out.
"No offence Bob Sapp". |

[quote=Weng]So Sapp was lucky Hoost made mistakes like that :p ;)
I agree with what you said and I think he also should have worked on that liver more because that was clearly his weakest spot   Well If you say it was a mistake,Tyson's k.o.to Botha must be a mistake as well?Coz while he threw his right hand his left hands was down and wasn't covering his chin. Mistake are the decider of Winner & Looser. Hey ! guys chill. You guys speak of it as if Tyson would stick out his chin for Sapp to hit him, just to prove he can take it.I am not saying Sapp could k.o.Tyson.But you Guys got to give the big guy littel credit. Among all the reply, I'm gonna have to agree with Squidd... |
