After training with Marco this morning he informed me that I've learned enough, and I am in good enough shape, to earn a Ruas Vale Tudo Fighting Diploma. Its not really a belt, but an acknoledgement that I am worthy to be a member of his studio.
It was cool! After finishing his grueling workout, I rolled with him for about 15 minutes. He told me that I still don't have a lot of finishing moves but I am good at finishing the ones I know and that I was in better shape than most of his other students. Anyway, just wanted to tell my forum bro's. I don't believe in belts or trophies telling you how good of a fighter you are. However, to be recognized (even at a low level) by a figher as great as Marco is an awesome feeling! Hard work pays off! Anyway, my apologies if this sounds like I am bragging. That is not my intention. It is just that no one (family or friends) share my passion for MMA - I guess that's why I have you guys. Regards, Hitch..... |

Congrats, damn, my email server is under reparation, so I can't email you until the end of the month, BUT, I must tell you I'M GREEN OF ENVY!
I train in Ruas Vale Tudo by two years now, and I missed the Ruas seminar in Torino, so I'm praying that DA MAN will come here soon. BTW, Pedro Rizzo is scheduled to have a seminar here in Italy in the next months (maybe february). However, keep holding on, hitch, you are training with the best NHB trainer in the world! |

Thanks for the kind words everyone! This may just be the internet, but knowing that these thoughtful comments came from other people is greatly appreciated by me.
BIG BIRD: No, I am not a woman. Just curious what gave you that idea? If I was, I'd never leave the house! Anyway, I was at my nieces baptism today. Afterwards, there was all kinds of junk food around. I held-off for the most part. Just to hear a few congratulations from all of you motivates me to train harder and improve. I am just a part timer in this gig. I have a pretty demanding work schedule, but would do it full time if I could. Tommorow after class Marco is going to play the Friday UFC. I can't wait to see Babalu's fight with Smith. And of course, I am dying to see Pulver's left hook that landed on Lewis. I'll talk to you guys soon. Regards, Hitch..... |
