Hi, everyone. In case you don't know me, I am one of your friendly neighborhood moderators. As such, I have the power to enact this new policy:

Any thread dealing with Tae Kwon Do/Karate that is not constructive will be deleted without any further warnings. I, as well as many other people, am tired of the nonsense perpetrated by a select few (that means you, Ghost and co.). If I see one more TKD bashing thread...er...TKD thread (there seems to be no difference between the two), people are going to have to leave and threads will be deleted. Are some of you people so insecure with what you do that you feel the need to trash everything else without so much as a consideration that there may be others with different motivations for training? It would seem not. This is the first, last, and only, warning.

this is the mixed martial arts and bjj forum anyway, what does tkd have to do with it.. ?

i would suggest creating a tkd-forum for those who want to discuss that..

Well I hope you aren't refering to me as one of ghosts "co." because I pionered the first specificaly non-TKD thread.

I too have said many times that self defense is not the only reason to do martial arts. The only time I bash TKD is when someone makes some sort of outrageous claim ("My master can kill an elephant with any kick" type of thing).

I agree that we need some sort of traditional martial arts foum. People see "mixed martial arts forum" and think it means "Forum with a mixture of martial arts" so they put chi and TKD related threads there. Creating a trad forum might help restrict some of the bashing (anti-traditionalists might be too lazy to go there).

Started a new martial art have we Ryan, getting very protective all of a sudden.

Ok i see im in trouble.

So i guess i cant so too much about TKD now.

Can we have a similar rule for the people that defend it with absolute nonsence too?

Or is JUST me and co?

Idiots don't defend it unless they are provoked. They'll get the same amount of slack as you, no more, no less. Both sides of the discussion are very tired arguments that have no place in a productive forum.
