I am considering getting a middleweight gi since I already have a HCK double and Ouano single weave. I am looking at the Atama gold weave or a Machado gold weave or Hybrid weave.
I have read all the reviews and info regarding the hybrid weave (Machado), but I was wondering if anyone here has actually TRIED one and how it feels compared to a gold weave. Let the battle begin !!! GOLD WEAVE VS HYBRID WEAVE !!

I have a Machado Hybrid I just bought a few months ago.
I really like both the top and bottom. It is pretty similar to the Gold weave. What I like most about the Hybrid is the new material they make the pants out of. It's something Machado hasn't made the pants out of, and I think it is a good choice, it's a bit thicker than their normal pants, but still plenty loose and supple. The top is very similar to the gold, but maybe a tad lighter. It's still fairly thick and durable though. I like it over the Atama stuff because the Atama's I've seen have the lighter material "skirt" that is the bottom 1/4 of the gi or so, whereas the Hybrid is the same material all the way down, so there aren't as many weaker spots. Alot of the guys I train with have Gold Atama's and Machados, but a few have the Hybrid, and I think Hybrid is the choice I'd make again, though it looks like this Gi will last a very, very long time. It's pretty solid.

A few quick questions...
1. Is the hybrid as comfortable as gold weaves? 2. Does the Hybrid not stretch as much as the gold weaves during rolling?

It's plenty comfortable to me. Depends on personal preferance really, the difference to me is barley noticable.
I don't notice much stretching at all during rolling, so probably not.
