Thanksgiving will be coming upon us soon.

I am Thankful that...
- I am relatively healthy. - I have an excellent wife and two smart, beautiful girls. - both my parents are still alive and I get to spend time with them. - I live in the greatest country in the world with more freedom and cool junk to buy than I will ever need. Importantly, I realize that it was merely a quirk of fate that I was born into many of these things. I could just as easily have been born in a cardboard box in Bangladesh. I'm not an overtly religous person, but one of the few times each year when I do pray is at Thanksgiving dinner. It goes like this... "Wow. God. Don't think I don't appreciate my good fortune because I certainly do!". |

- I'm thankful to have a step dad that doesn't suck and actually sticks up for me against my mom [ha! Take that mom]
- I'm thankful I have something like 7 REALLY close friends - I'm thankful I have a girlfriend that really loves me - I'm thankful that my mom always makes sure I'm happy - I'm thankful that we're a middle class family thats not struggling - I'm thankful that I'm good at BJJ. Well as good as a 3 month white belt who never trains can be =)

Im thankful that:
-I'm going bald -I just split from my girlfriend (a bitch BTW) -I'm above 5%bodyfat -I have no REAL friend -I live in a country where you can own only six handguns -I'm over thirty -I can't find a decent sparring partner **** thanksgiving.... Right now the only thing I must be grateful for is that it's approaching the monthly weekend in Rome, where I'll find some major brawling...hee,hee |

I'm not thankful for shit and I don't feel I should be thankful for anything. Thanksgiving is a sham. You all are lucky I don't have the thanksgiving poem by William S. Burroughs memorized.

Well, Ill respond seriously for once.
I'm thankful for the fact that I'm still healthy ( save for the bad back and current ligament damage in my wrist.) I'm thankful for my folks, they are both still alive and I live near enough to them for the opportunity to talk with them.. I'm thankful for my GF, her new 50 K a year job  , and the new experiences she is bringing me..I'm also thankful for my ex-GF of seven years. I broke up with her and things could've disinigrated quickly, but we are still close, and that affords me the opportunity for us to realize we made a mistake if indeed we have. I'm thankful for PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm thankful for my friends and for my ability to continue to train MMA. |

But right now I'm dieting my axx off, training 3 hours/day, and STILL BALDING! So I'm a little pixxed off... (btw, if I shave my head I would remember a conehead, so I must hang with whatever left of my hairs, ha, ha!) |
