Default Bart Vale's shootfighting=mcdojo training?

2 arts I always wanted to train in was BJJ and shootwrestling/shootfighting.
Of course Bart Vale's name is synonomous with shootfighting.Through post on varios forums and reviews of his videos,I am yet to hear 1 good thing about him or his system or his affiliated schools.

Here are some of the things I have heard of his training system and schools(some come from this forum)
1.His techniques are outdated
2.His techniques rely to much on strength
3.His techniques lack technical steps
4.That his kenpo(he is a high ranking black belt in kenpo) is passed of as thaiboxing.
5.The reviews on his videos that I read were all horrible.

I read a post on this board that says they trained with him for a year, and his teaching lacked technical information.

I am just wondering if anyone who has studied under Bart Vale,or under an affiliated school would give their comments on his brand of shootfighting.
There is a ISFA affiliated school about 20 or so minutes away and was thinking about checking it out. Before I piss of anybody about why I dont just go check out the class,I am going to start taking BJJ 6 days a week, and am not sure If I will get a chance to train at the school much anyway.
If I do get some positive reviews I might try to set up some private lessons,or depending on the schedule, get to go to the classes.
Even though I beleive BJJ to be a very Great art,the shootfighing has a different approach(more leglocks, more transitional locks, less guard and mount fighing, and combining standup and grappling in one art).
Anyone I hope to hear of your opinions, negative or posotive(spelling ?).
Thnx in advance.
