    how many here have competed

    Hi all,

How many of you here have competed in MMA / NHB events?

How did you find the atmosphere among participants both before and after the event?

How did you find your bout?

I am thinking of getting into the ring.

    Cheers
    chris

Nah not trying to do that.

Just when i competed in Judo and Karate there was a distinct lack of respect for anyone. But i have heard that the NHB crowd seem to be quite close.

Just thought i would see if that is true.

But yeh i will tell you all how i get on.

I am starting a heavy CV routine before i do anything though - once my fitness is there then in i go!

    cheers
    Chris

    What's the CV program entail?

    I'm in dire need myself.

What happened in the Judo camps? Most of the judoka I know are very mello and friendly.

yeh alot of the Judo teams are fairly friendly - but there was some fairly heavy rivallry with our dojo and another dojo. We both had british junior and senior nationals so it was very competetive.

My CV is basically - morning and evening running, bag work, skipping, and rowing.

so hopefully about 3 or 4 months i should have a good fitness level.

    cheers
    chris

I've competed in bjj and wrestling. Team spirit is good and some opponents are classy.
Never done MMA, probably similar with the team spirit and opponents probably slightly less classy from what I've seen and read.
