Unhappy Busted Knuckle!

Hi Folks

(I initialy posted this in the techniques forum but thought i'd try my luck here too)

Was wandering if you could help me...

I havn't been to the doctor yet, but from my own self-diagnosis and from what others have said, it seems I've gone and put a hair-line fracture on my knuckle (middle finger knuckle).

I can't put any pressure on it when it's at a certain angle which means no more fist press-ups. And I can only lay into the bag for a short time before I realize i'm in pain. And it generaly hurts.

There's no swelling (so not just bruise, and i've had bruised bone before - doesn't last this long)

There's no disforming of the knuckle (so not a chipped bone)

It's not out of place (so not a dislocation)

So this is why I guess its a hair-line (but i'll see the doc soon)

Anyway, the point is WHAT SHOULD I DO? I've always loved using my fists and although I respect the palm-strike, I just don't wanna change my training like that.

Anyway I can get my knuckle back to it's old calcifide, non pain-feeling self? I really miss it!

And before you ask about how it happened...DON'T lol

Thanks a lot for any help you can give me

Keeper

I think I did that once. Just ice it and rest it a bit and it may heal. But I am not a doctor. It wouldn't hurt to go see one. Or use some gloves. Yes I know it's fun to hit things with bare hands.... but

1) Using 16 oz gloves would work the shoulders
2) MMA gloves look dead sexy
