Houston ROSS russian Ma school now open

The R.O.S.S. russian martial art training group is up and running in the south Houston area. For you unfamiliar with ROSS, it is the russian martial art and performance enhancement system championed by the Sambo coach and performance enhancement specialist Scott Sonnon. ( hops off coat tails )

Classes are being held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7, and 7-8:30. Training is street self defense oriented with a definate MMA applications. We actually simulate biting and eye gouging while grappling along with simulated throat strikes. The training is definately influenced by Tony Blauer's methods as well as the ROSS system.

Anybody with legitmate "alive" training is more than welcome to come train for free. I am looking for wrestlers, judokas, samboists, BJJ, boxers, JKD stylists, etc. The last time I put this up, I got about 10 emails with guys with " 2 yrs TKD, 2 months BJJ, boxed 10 yrs ago, ". I appreciate the effort, but I am looking for people who aren't going to ask what hyungs I teach.

I had a 17 yr old with a 3rd degree in tang soo do email me. He basically expressed that I would be lucky to study with a prodigy such as himself. He had won every point sparring tourney he had entered ...

When I first created this email I was in Hwa Rang Do. I keep it as kind of a reminder of where I really started and how much evolution has taken place.

I sucked at them anyways. I have short arms and legs. I just had to bull rush them.

I did ok in the one that I entered. .There is just too much bs though. I hit a guy like 3 times in the head clean and the judged didn't even flinch
