As far as diseases how is it any different then if you sparr and your opponent starts bleeding all over you?

Whether there is blood on you from you biting on street or your opponents blood from sparring in martial arts there is no difference either way blood is blood.

The big difference to me, and part of the reason I'm bringing this up, is blood from a cut on a guys face has less of a chance of getting somewhere where it can infect you. It'd have to hit a mucus membrane or an open cut which is somewhat unlikely (knuckle cuts may be the exception). But biting someone you are almost insured to be exposed to any contagion someone may have.

Don't believe that you cannot get a blood born illness just because it only made contact with your skill. Watch the nurses at the hospital double glove if you tell them you have aids.

There are several cases where people in the medical profession have claimed they have been infected by getting splashed with blood, but since all factors cannot be accounted for they rule it out.

Also getting blood in your eyes, nose, on a cut is just and easier transmission.

Actually, he successfully cheated, and you will note that the reaction of one of the hardest men in the world was to freak out and jump up and down. I would be very hard-pressed to call Tyson a pussy. He was outclassed that night, but I don't know of anyone who would look forward to stepping into the ring against him, much less fight him for real. He would eat alive most of the opponents he lost against in the ring--the man is an animal.

Being an animal is not what makes a boxer a good fighter.It doesn't matter that he has been a successful fighter the fact is he cheated that night by doing what he did. Cheating is cheating whether done successfully or not.

Well the truth is that I don't believe Tyson was trying to win that match by biting Holyfields ear off. He may be border line retarded but he is not that stupid He just got fed up and wanted to hurt Holyfield the only way he knew how hehe. Tyson is anything but a pussy. No, the fact that Tyson is one of the hardest punchers of all time makes him a hardass. You said that he cheated in a thread about biting. My post attempted to illustrate that it worked and worked well. I am, of course, not supporting cheating in a sporting event.

Well, no argument here. You stated that he 'tried' to cheat, and I reminded you that he successfully cheated. Many fighters cheat to a certain degree, whether it is through steroid use (Vargas) or trying to sneak in elbows or low blows.

This is true. In the ring, cool heads usually prevail while getting angry and swinging away usually gets you knocked out. However, as I stated before, I am certain that he would kill many of the fighters he lost to. Being an animal DOES make a difference when things go down for real. There's no doubt about that.

Tyson, can't control hisself or his actions. He has to have people with him constantly. When he is in the ring they should have a cattle prob to get him to do the right thing.
He loses hisself so much after one of his last fights he was saying he wanted to eat the opponents children.

You know what its just simple Tyson cannot control his actions on or off the ring. He is heavily medicated now but in order to fight he cannot take medications. As for the holyfield fight I now know the truth. It was all his trainers fault. In order to make him more aggressive they starved him for a couple of days much like a dog fight trainer would do. Tyson was just hungry thats all and the trainers were at fault. I believe Tyson should be freed back into the wild where he can live off his natural diet of raw deer ass and squirrel

I think biting has saved me from gettin my face smashed in before. Im 14, 5'8 and weigh 150 (not all that big of a dude) and was playin football with some kids i didnt no and it seemed wen i tackled this 240 pound dude he didnt quite like it(he was very embarrased). He put me in a headlock to hold and was bout to pound my face wen i sliped out just a tiny bit and chomped down on his forarm. he screamed in pain and when the other kids saw the blood they all backed off from me. And I dont think I ever saw some one so scared of me before.
