Take your jiu-jitsu to another level with Kazeka Muniz's streetfighting videos! These tapes are excellent and incorporate some amazing variations of classic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques as applied to real-life encounters in the street! No matter what level you are or if you own every other set of videos out there, if you don't have this set you're seriously missing out!!!

Hey wait a second... I thought Kazeka Muniz was not that revered throughout the MA community. He was claiming he was a long time student of Rickson Gracie (whom he called "the man" in one of his advertisements) and one of my friends asked Rickson this, and Rickson replied that he barely knew him and threatened to sue for continually using his name along side his. That's just my recolection. Ryu

These are like five year old Panther videos and they blow.
Martial Artist, he is wearing a real faded blue belt. He is a black belt (Gracie Barra) now so that will tell you how old this series is. Hey TeamGracie, I asked you on another forum if this company was associated with any Gracies and you never answered. Does any Gracie have a part in this or are you just jumping on the name to make money? |

I think saying these tapes "blow" or are only for white or blue belts is pretty unfair. It's cool, if you don't like the tapes but at least keep it in perspective. I think that the tapes are excellent for what they are.. taking BJJ to the street and modifying classic sport BJJ moves for unorthodox encounters in real-life situations. They are not the tapes to learn or enhance classic sport BJJ or for that matter, Vale Tudo or NHB fighting. I agree, Kazeka's sport tapes are excellent for that. But, to each his own. I respect all of your opinions.
As far as Gracie affiliations. We have more than one. The site was originally developed for Carlson Gracie but was later developed further to represent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as taught by the Gracie family. Our logo was redesigned from the Carlson bulldogs to the crest that we use now, which was researched with the help of the Gracie family and is Scottish in origin. As were the Gracies. The site, as you now may know, lists (or attempts to list!) all the major academies by name and state. We have an online techniques database that is excellent and will soon include quicktime movie display of techniques being performed. Our online store has some great products and our online calendar lists major upcoming tournaments and seminars. Our forum is so so but is being redesigned to work more like this forum. One last thing. I'd like to apologize for pushing these videos. I had great feedback from people who had purchased the tapes from our site. In fact, they are one of our best sellers. It's been a while since I've viewed them myself so I'll sit down and take a look again! V. Maniatis webmaster TeamGracie.com |
