I have recently watched the newest Pride and newest UFC and I have come to the conclusion that UFC freakin' sucks. The matches come down to who can put the other person against the cage and hit them until time runs out. Just compare Chuck Liddels' record to Wanderlei Silvas' record. Liddel has won alot of matches in the later rounds or by decision all in the UFC while Silva has won most of his matches in the first round. I know that this is maybe an unfair comparison but I just think that Pride is just a better canvas to show the world your "art". Can anyone make an argument against the fact that Pride is by far the better venue?

Or could it be the other way around? Some of the matches come out smelling rather Fecid. Never the less it seems like UFC has too much hype and not enough substance, plus "Big" John McCarthy stops the matches too early. In Japan they let them go at it and the refs actually seem like they want the fans to get their moneys worth.

The reason why UFC sucks compaired to pride is this.
Bout earnings for UFC: 10,000 Bout earnings for PRIDE: 30,000 Which are you going to get your ass kicked for? 30,000 or 10,000?

Pride.
I love living in a country where Pride, K-1, Shoot, and Pancrase tournaments are on REGULAR (not PPV) cable tv.

shoot and Pancrase events would be released on the net Peronally I think UFC creates thougher guys, but Pride creates the more alround and more skilled fighter I like the mentality of Pride, almost all the fighters respect eachother Win or lose, it doesn't matter, as long as you give it your best

UFC, for the most part, seems to produce more simple, like-minded fighters. I hate the "Take them to the cage and lay there" mentality. Just watch any Pride match (minus any of Mark Kerr's embarrassing horse-crap) and you will see that, for the most part, the fights are extremely more exciting. The Couture/Tito match sucked so badly, I mean, who can honestly say that they enjoyed the match. Seeing Tito cry was the ONLY thing good about the match. Now take any of the Silva/Saku matches....... Those are sheer viewing pleasure!
