I just broke my acl in my left knee. It's poping out with every step.I'am going to have to have surgery. That makes both knees.
I am not looking forward to this. I wonder if I can get the rest of the surgeries I need all at one time. Maybe a package deal! DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Dan, I didn't take a look at this post until right now. I had no idea it was that serious. That sucks. I agree with Ronin, don't force the comeback. I haven't had surgery yet (like to keep it that way) Ripped the ligaments in my left elbow though...that put me out for a while. Injuries do suck ![]() Ryu

Do not rush the healing process. Matter of fact, when you're feeling like you're good as new...force yourself to wait another month! That's your mind lying to you! Be very careful with yourself during physical therapy and LISTEN to the folks running the show. You mess up and cause more damage or force a draining...you'll regret it.
Invest in a very good pair of knee braces, afterwards, too. I think John Bennett has a link for that. Make the investment in your body. Dang! I really hate to hear about your knees. Later, when I get my knee surgery, you can return the same message, ok? LOL! Keep your chin up and don't let it get you down. Follow your instructions to the "T" and you'll be back on the mat in no time. Pay attention to the exercises they'll give you and start/keep them incorporated in your daily workout routine. Peace

I wasnt doing anything.I had just finished doing some welding under a truck and when I got up it just went out.But the funny thing is that when I went to the doc for that he gave me a quick look over and found a chunk of bone floating around in my neck.
So I am going to have a couple of surgeries. And I am Done Grappling. He has told me I am not to wrestle or do any form of martial arts.He says I may be the next Cristopher Reeves if I dont quit and get this taken care of. I am no longer able to train. So I guess I will be a spectator. I thought I had broken the ACL once before and found it was just torn maniscus. Not so lucky this time. Man,it stinks to get old. |

Whoa! I am seriously sorry to hear that Dan. I've often wondered what I would do if I could no longer train. I guess I would get more into motorcycle touring or home improvement. |
