I didnt want this to be a debate about tennis as a martial art.

i just wanted to point out that martial arts arent just about fighting and even if you think that your style is just about fighting, you are inadvertantly expressing yourself.

You can try and argue that you are a fighting robot but you arent, you are doomed to express yourself just like every other human being, you have no choice and the more you try to deny it; the more you show it.

I express myself with a few elbows to their face until they start looking like ground beef when they smile. I like to call that little piece of art "HAMBURGER HELPER".

I express myself by kicking ass and looking cool.

If I'm not meaning to express myself, am I still expressing myself? I don't think so. I don't express myself by walking down the street the same way I don't express myself by choking out a training partner.

well i disagree...

You can tell alot about a person from the way they walk.

...and even if youre making an effort not to express yourself, then you expressing that you dont want to express yourself.

If you win a fight by punching their face in, thats the sort of person you are.

I knew spanky sounded familiar. He was that creepy camp counselor that gave all the boys a good pat on the rump when they came out of the mandatory showers.

That's nice, but if you can't draw you still suck as an artist.
