Default ear protection

Can anyone recommend wrestlers type ear protection for jiu-jitsu?
Pros and cons of models you have tried and why you recommend the one you use.

coliflower ear? In wrestling and the like people get popped in the ear a good amount of times. I guess because its mostly cartilage and small blood vessels they get all messed up really easy. I'm not sure how it really works though but some old wrestlers like my highschool coach has some of the ugliest lookin earlobes I had ever seen thanks to years of wrestling.
