MMA/Jeet Kune Do class difference?

I'm newly interested in martial arts and JKD specifically. I live in Katy and I see there's a Saturday MMA class in Katy. The class description is "This class focuses on Thaiboxing, Submission Grappling and the principles of Jeet Kune Do." I have a couple questions:
1) how exactly do the two classes, MMA and JKD, differ? What does MMA leave out of its JKD or what "parts" of JKD does it include?
2) Any plans or thoughts about JKD class(es) at the Katy location?

Hi,

The best thing to do is to come out and try a free class to see if you like it.

The mma class does not contain technique training in eye gouging, hair pulling, etc...
