Stanley Phillip's knife seminar cancelled (heart surgery!)

I just found out that Stanley had a 5 bypass heart surgery today. I don't know any of the details yet.

I'll post details here as I find out more. Hopefully he'll pull out of it ok.

Just got some more info...

Thursday he went for a heart catheterization. They found that his artery had a 95% blockage. So on Friday they performed the 5 bypass surgery.

Sounds like he'll be laid up for a while.

Apparently, he's been in a lot of pain for quite a while and had never mentioned it. We just returned a couple weeks ago from the Inosanto Instructor Conference. Training consisted of 4 hours/day and we were there for 3 days. Somehow he made it through the whole camp...with some major chest pains.

He's a tough guy and I'm sure he'll make it through this.

I'll post updates as I learn more.

Ya don't know me from anybody else, but I had a chance to roll around with ya a few years back when you were covering Mr. Mousel's day classes at Brown's gym. God Bless and get well soon...

Just got back from visiting Stanley in the hospital. He's doing remarkably well. He's up out of bed and is able to walk around. Tomorrow he'll be released from the hospital. It will be a few months before he can train again but the good news is that a complete recovery is expected!
