Stealth walking ? By spud302 - Sun, 21 Oct 2007 10:47:32 GMT

=========

First of all hello to everyone, this is my first post.

Since there are no schools that teach that and similar skills where I live I looked up for the informations and tips on the internet and all sources i can look into. I read that when taking steps when stealth walking first contact is of the outside part of the foot and then slowly whole foot gets contact with the ground. I was wondering what part of the foot makes the first contact with the ground when walking forward, the heel and then the ball of the foot or first ball then heel ? I know that the best thing is to take the class but I have no ability to do that since there are no classes anywhere near, so I have to learn from the literature and the videos, if you have something to recommend(book,links...) let me know. Thanks.

Real ninjutsu schools do not spend much focus at all on stealth walking, but what they do tell you is that apart from a few tips there is no set way of doing it. It is not your mind that learns this it is your body, it is somthing you can only teach yourself. only constant practice can help. If your looking for any info to help you out tho, there are many books by stephen k hayes written in the 1980s that would help you. Why do you want to learn?

The stealth and espionage taught through the bujinkan schools today originated from china about a thousand years as did some of the other schools.so its totally possible.

I think the chinese rice paper thing is The Art of Lightness. Shaolin monks also stand on lightbulbs without breaking them.
