The best way to learn about what ninjutsu is is to read a book, specifically "Ninjutsu: History and Tradition" by Soke Hatsumi, the living grandmaster of the nine schools of Ninpo. I guarantee that will answer any and all of your questions regarding Ninjutsu.

That seems like a rather categorical statement, don't you think? Wouldn't you need to know every possible question that the person could possibly ask to be able to make such a strange blanket guarantee?

It covers the history, stances, techniques, training methods, beliefs, weapons, and answers to commonly asked questions. Seems like a good claim to me.

You made a "guarantee". Don't you think that's overdoing it a bit?

Nope, I'm confident it'll answer what he needs to know.

You seem prone to irresponsible generalizations, don't you?

How is that irresponsible? Self-confidence is one of the many benefits of martial arts training, and if he reads that book he'll be fine. A sign of questioning everyone and everything is a lack of faith and confidence.

What about pressure points? Which strikes work best on which pressure points and which pressure points are most available on different ethnicities.
In response to this quote, I would like to know more of what you speak. Which ethnicity has the most pressure points? Which has the least? This is something that I have never heard before. I have studied pressure points for years, but have never trained against an ethnicity. Please enlighten.

holyman is an unknown quantity at this point

Its an extinct system and died a death thousands of years ago. These days con men advertise oh i teach ninjutsu but dont believe then.

The true art has been lost in time. Stephen Hayes and Richard Van donk teach hacked ninjutsu which is just jujutus wearing a black suite

I am looking for something spiritual, acrobatic and that enables me to use sticks, etc... and if possible learn animal styles (not essential).
Please could you help, i know that probably is a stupid question, but I really don't know what to do.
Thank you very much

P.S. sorry about my english but I'm italian

Stephen Hayes did branch off of the actual ninjutsu system and is off doing his own thing, but right now Shihan van Donk is a 14th dan and officially recognized by Soke Hatsumi, the 34th Grandmaster of Togakure-ryu ninjutsu which was passed down to him by O'Sensei Takamatsu Toshitsugu so he is the real deal. If you've seen the guy in action I wouldn't mess with him. And from everything you have said to this point, holyman, I doubt your intellectual capacities far more than any martial arts experience you may believe you have. Until you have actually done the art, you never will really know a thing about it.

Their cultist behavior in regards to frank dux can at first be shocking, and seem quite sincere , I simply would like potential students to have a good idea what they are getting into BEFORE they go, not after. Have a nice day.
Hello, I would like to say that from every objective spectator whom has actually seen his demos or sparring, his style is a concoction of many much different systems sometimes resembling Jitsu, American boxing, to Bruce Lee's closing attacks ect. Why such animosity towards these people? Most whom see this are usually quite impressed from what I have read.

Sure his techniques may look impressive in the dojo, but trying to pass it off as authentic ninjutsu is just a marketing ploy and plain silliness. Check out Bullshido, he's one of the biggest targets there on ninjutsu second to only Ashida Kim/Chris Hunter/Haha Lung.

Default Thanks for the reply

Maybe then...someone could critique his style in a descriptive, detailed, and intelligent fashion as to juxtapose it against other Ninjitsu styles. What is it that makes him a fraud regardless of whether you believe he was in the Kumite or C.I.A. Help me out if you will.
