something that i have been curious about is the progress of marial arts in the western culture. what are some of the more important accomplishments, downfalls? who are the major players, important minor players? major styles? etc.

in my system, we have our own tournaments and, like most systems, not too involved with competing with other styles. who out there is trying to organize competions for multiple styles to compete at once?
