And I dont even like Van Damn movies .

nope. anything van damn kind of turns me away from watching it. I've have had it to here <----------------------> with seeing van damn doing his damn split kick in ass huggers and daisy dukes.

Before you make judgement ....see it.
There are some world class Russian figters in it.And someone has been teaching Van Damn to reality fight.Not one fancy kick in the whole movie.
Every technique is one you would see in Sambo and or BJJ.
I'm not plugging Van Damn.I am plugging the movies fight scenes.
They are GREAT!

I rented the movie. I thought it had poor acting, and the "fight scenes" weren't really impressive. Just two guys punching, kicking, and throwing in various holds. *shrugs*

I guess if you are looking for leaping kung fu scenes it wouldnt impress you.
If you know anything about reality fight I.E.actually training, it would.
Your profile says you study Boxing,Wrestling and judo.Isnt that punching throwing and various holds?If you dont think that is real fighting than why would you train in it?Or do you really train?

I've done the arts I list in my profile, but I do not actively train in them. As for movie, the choregraphy of the fight scenes just didn't seem realistic enough for me, but maybe that was because the entire movie was a hack-job snore fest with terrible acting.

i dont like van damned movies either but it was also recommended to me by a guy at work so i hired it today, will fill u guys in when iv'e watched it.

yeah will someone give me a couple of bucks to rent it because I will just loathe myself if I had to actually pay to watch a van damn movie. Even if the fights are good I'm sure the acting sucks and let's face it, you may be able to make Van damn a better fighter I mean he is in great shape but I don't believe anyone can fix his acting shortcomings. uhm maybe it will come out on tv as a world premiere or something on USA or TNN. They just love van damn movies. probably because its dirt cheap for them to get the rights to play them.

If I can get one or two good moves out of a movie it is worth a couple of bucks.If I see something that looks like it works I will try it.If I like it then I try it with 100% resistance to see if I can really make it work.
