In following the spirit of recent discussions about stupid polls and stupid people, I propose the following stupid question...

Who thinks stupidity should be painful?

no no, the political discussion was much needed and appreciated. It is only through such a debate that we form our opinions about our future leadership.

In response to what did I have in mind? I'm not sure. How about linking physical handicap to stupidity? For example, the more stupid, the less function of your body you have. This then would eliminate the feeling of "Why does this person need to struggle for life." We would all understand it's because they're a moron instead of selected by the Almighty.

Or how about just a crippling, searing, tear causing pain that rips through your body everytime you think, say, do something idiotic?

There are too many stupid people out there who go unpunished.

Stupidity is a commodity; its too frequent and underappreciated.
Besides, stupidity allready is painfull. Remember fluid mechanics and electrodynamics courses? Ohhhh the pain....Ohhhhhhhh the pain.

Homer Simpson embodies the sum of all stupid guys. If you've kept up with the Simpsons long enough and followed 'Homer' logic, you start to see it in the public at the most interesting places.

Sigh, Ill attempt to follow your reasoning:

!) Some people appear stupid to me
2) This frustrates me
3) Therefore I feel angry at them
4) Therefore I want them to suffer

I propose that someone who follows this line of thinking qualifies THEMSELVES to be stupid and must inflict pain upon themselves.

I see your point, but your logic falls apart in the first line of the proof. It's not that someone "appears" stupid. I'm not referring to people who merely play dumb for attention or as a cute character trait. I'm referring to people who are undeniably stupid.

Don't try to glorify the issue by paralleling stupidity to something serious such as racism or sexism. This is a seperate issue altogether.

How about an expressive conversation via cellphone while driving through a crazy highway? That's negligence and it is dangerous.

The reason I used the word "appear" is because you havnt defined exactly what "stupid" is. Its just your own opinion, without defenitions it is (as the logical positivists would say) nonsense. In terms of biological intelligence We all have the same EQ (ratio of brain to body size).

Also, if someone appears stupid there is no way for you to know whether they are stupid or not.
