Default Zatoichi

Those who remember seeing movies before they had color are probably looking forward to the US release of Zatoichi on June 4th. However for those of you who watched their first movie on the internet, here are links to some Zatoichi trailers.

Unfortunately, I have never seen any Zatoichi films, but being a huge fan of anime, manga, Japanese films and books, I'm familiar with them. I'm looking forward to this.

Late though I may be (I saw the movie over a year ago), it's one of the best things Beat Takeshi has ever made.

What?! Better than that show where the gaijin all sat around arguing with each other?

Which show are you thinking off, in particular?
How about this one?

Oh, that's no longer broadcast. It's been off the air for a long time. (Like Gaman, and all those other shows Chris Tarrant used to poke fun at.)

Did you know the reason that "Gaman" was taken off the air was because they had a near-fatality?

Unfortunately, at the back of the hot tub and obscured by the rising steam was a man who fainted from the heat, and he was slowly cooking. When he was finally discovered and removed, he had second-degree burns all over his body, necessitating hospitalisation. As that was too much even for this whacky game show, "Gaman" was cancelled.
