Default Meditation

I was locked out of my house for a few hours, the reasons for which are not important.

I spent the last half hour meditating, just sitting, eyes closed, concentrating only on breathing.

Before, I was feeling anxious about a physics exam the next day, angry, hungry, bored etc. Afterwards I felt great. I felt calm but happy... and that the world was a beautiful place and I was part of it.

Anyway, although its only very vaguely related to martial arts, Id like to know if anyone else meditates, and if it helps them with anything in particular.
