Legally, it's best to leave them alone. They could sue you if you hurt them.
I have, on occasion, invited them to my school for a friendly match. That way there are plenty people to witness the match and is done is a more friendly atmosphere.

tom yum is right. don't fall in that trap. harassing, name calling, instigating: don't fall for it. you have to deal with two realities.

a. the agressor has done this before and has no reservation about engaging in a one-on-one. if this is the case, he's probably experienced which means he's gonna win.

b. he could be a little pussy talking tough to impress a friend. you'd love to destroy him with your kung fu, bjj, whatever you're trained in. but remember...you **** him up, he'll sue, because that's the psychology of a weak, all-talk, pussy. he'll call the cops, he'll call his friends, he'll fake an injury. he'll do anything to make you out to be the bad guy.

in both scenarios, you're fucked. so don't engage in a fight, unless the agressor comes at you phsyically. then it's go-time. in that situation, don't try to be bruce lee. use common sense. go for the neck, the balls, and the knees.
