Default Hernia Surgery...

I just yesterday had the wonderful experience of underdoing "open right inguinal hernia surgery." All is going well, sure it hurts, but I'll live. The part that really stinks is that today's my birthday and I'm spending it laid up. But enough of the sympathy gathering...

My question is, has anyone else on here undergone a similar surgery and more importantly, how long was it until you could train again?

Not I, but a friend of mine had a hernia removed.

He laid around for about 2 weeks, then was able to move around his place and do normal house stuff. He started working out again about 2 months later, light & easy to make sure everything was allright.

Allways stretch and warm up well, was the advice he gave me thereafter.
