Shin Do Kumaté VIII Sept. 17 Tampa, FL

TAMPA, Fla. – Sun Sports TV to broadcast “Shin Do Kumaté VIII” Professional Martial Arts fighting event. Sponsored by Tiger Beer, Margarita Mama’s, and Tampa Harley-Davidson, this highly skilled Martial Arts fighting event will be televised from USF Marshall Center in Tampa, Fla on September 17, 2005. Ten bouts are scheduled featuring top professional male and female full-contact Martial Art and Muay Thai fighters from around the world to compete for the World Title Championship.
Shin Do Kumaté, "The Way of the Fighting Spirit", is a new well recognize international competition founded and organized by Master Mehrdad Khan Moayedi the “Persian Warrior”. This competition joins true martial artists from many disciplines. The rules are simple and the competition is fierce with four three-minute rounds.
Master Mehrdad formed this organization because he recognized the need for Martial Artists in North America to gain mainstream exposure and respect as true athletes and skillful fighters. He has worked diligently to set Shin Do Kumaté apart from other competitions by employing traditional Martial Arts’ disciplines, techniques and rules to give competitors an opportunity to prove their chosen art's effectiveness in true combat. The event is sanctioned by the Florida State Athletic & Boxing Commission to guarantee that an unbiased mediator judges each bout fairly.
“The Quest for the Greatest Martial Arts Warrior”, Shin Do Kumaté, is held three times per year in Tampa and will soon go to other major cities in the state of Florida. Currently receiving international attention, this event is expected to reach new heights by the end of this year. The fighter weigh-in will take place on September 16 at 7:00 PM at the Wyndham Hotel on Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa.
