They are actually teaching a class based on the book? Now i've seen everything. What is it for? Poli sci?
I am surprised also that they list the outline of the book on a website. Hope they don't get nailed for fair use. I bought the book about a year ago I guess.

I read sunzi pingfa (art of war) when I was 12 and was awe strucken to find out that some 10 years later, Harvard Business school made it required reading.
Another good book to read about warrior ship: Rogue Warrior by Richard Marcinko.

Nobody mentioned On War by Clausewitz; Clausewitz brilliance was that he understood the more human aspects of warfighting...

Quartered Safe Out Here, by George MacDonald Fraser - one of the better-written WWII (Burmese Theatre) memoirs. http://www.complete-review.com/revie...qsafe.htm#ours
Diplomacy, by Henry Kissinger. Read it and understand a lot of the "why" of US foreign policy, or at least the thinking of those who formulate it. http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl...36/ai_15593327 Thick Face Black Heart, by Chin-Ning Chu - written a bit too much like one of those pop-psychology/business secrets self-help books for my taste (i.e. dumbed-down to an extent), but the basic principles are interesting. http://www.twbookmark.com/jrun/books...200/index.html
