Default can living in anger/rage/being violent for many years lead to mental illness

even though I 'm not an angry person anymore I find that I still have persistant violent thoughts/impulses from the time I get up in the morning till the time I go to sleep at night could this be a result of living f***** up for so long???? I though all I had to do was ditch the anger and I'd be good to go but I think I may have F***** up my head with my stupidity. So does anyone know if there's a causeal link between long term rage/violence stuff and head problems??? Btw I went to a shrink but left before my apppointment because I thought I was going to flip out in the lobby. So what to do now?
Serious responses only please.

How did you F*** your head with stupidity? Have you taken an IQ test to verify that you are clinically dumb and that this is the cause for your issue? Here's a quick link to IQ (for whatever its worth)

Ok, now the real issue: What triggers your rage?

when I say stupidity I mean dealing with very bad stuff in the wrong way i.e. anger hatred and rage. As for what triggers it lets just say all the bad stuff I have in my head from many bad inncodents, I'd prefer not have this shit my head. I'm not going into specifics so any sickos that may be listening can get a semi though.

Default The answer is YES!

More importantly, it can lead to spiritual illness.

Have you ever heard about those therapy programs that require the participant to confront his anger, resolve his feelings, then finally, forgive the person for whom they've been carrying anger or resentment? There are many reasons why it's important to break the pattern of anger, resentment and grudges. If you're still having those feelings chronically, as you describe, then you have unresolved issues keeping you from being completely happy and self fulfilled. Such emotions can lead to physical, spiritual and yes, even mental illness.

Every day?!? Against anyone in particular or is it just a feeling like you wanna go punch the bag or run or scream at the top of your lungs?

Blue,

Talk to someone you trust or go back to that appointment. I hope you find peace and clarity.

it used to be against some previous bad stuff involving individuals but i kinda let that stuff go, but now it's just a general urge to threaten people, assualt people who aggrevate me,destroy most of the stuff I see ect ect. It doesn't matter if I drink or not I'm just as nutty sans booze just no blackouts. I'd never physicaly attack anyone unless they attack me but the impulse
for violence/ acting out violently is always there 24/7. I think I'd flip out in a shrinks office though

You prolly need aversion therapy. Refer to Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" for specific methodologies and protocols. Best o' luck!
