Judge Reggie Walton, the presiding judge in the Libby trial, deliberated over a case titled "SEALED v. SEALED." There is growing speculation that sealed v. sealed is Fitzgerald v. Gonzales' Deputy, Paul McNulty (Fitzgerald's direct superior).

The Wayne Madsen Report and the Chris Matthews Show have both floated the theory that Fitzgerald had secured indictments against Rove, but Gonzales --via McNulty-- came in at the last second and used his power as Fitzgerald's superior to kill the indictments.

IF, this theory is true, Fitzgerald would have likely challenged McNulty's decision in court, pointing to an earlier administrative directive from then acting Attorney General James Comey that gave Fitzerald the "authority of the Attorney General." Comey is long gone, however, and was replaced by McNulty. The question then becomes what, if any, value does Comey's administrative directive have today.

One unfortunate realty of this scenario is that if the judge sides with McNulty, we will never know what really happened, because it will remained sealed. Which, is one explanation about why Rove is acting so smug these days and why the White House has not pulled back his public schedule.

Well, you used three words there, "undercover" "revenge" and "lie", that are all judgment laden and reflect a political bias that has not been supported by the facts and legal interpretation despite a great deal of investigation. You may believe it, and it may very well be 'proven' one day, but as of now all of those are just biased assumptions rather than proven fact.

"fine and dandy"? I thought innocent until proven guilty was fine and dandy. Not only was no one found guilty of the central accusation here, but no one has even been charged with the 'crime' that some people of a certain political bent have already rendered judgment on.

the reason its known as the "Plame" incident is that she was using her maiden name, as well as working for a CIA front company, doesnt this mean that the CIA had an interest in keeping her identity a secret? Doesnt she and the people working for her and OUR GOVERNMENT for OUR SAFETY deserve protection?

Her outing as an agent came 8-days after her husbands op-ed piece against the administrations claims of WMD, doesnt that suggest revenge?

Look at the timeline of Joeseph Wilsons report on Nigeria and the Yellowcake claims in Rep speeches, hell it only took the IAEA a matter of hours to determine the documents were fake using little more than a google search, yet we included this dubious claim in speech after speech?

Scooter Libby was charged with obstruction of justice and perjury I believe?
those charges would seem to suggest he is trying to protect someone, or delay an investigation till the tracks can be covered as best as possible.
Who could that be, maybe Robert Novaks source?

And finally the WMD claim was a lie, we have found 0 of the "tons" of WMD claimed in the state of the union address, we have only found "dozens of WMD program related activities" Not an aresenal, certainly not the waiting mushroom cloud spoken of many times in speeches leading up to the war.

Again, the status of 'undercover' and the legal distinctions involved in what can and can't be said about what and by whom isn't based on your "Oh, c'mon now". There are laws and precendents involved, that's why a prosecutor investigated the hell out of all this. If someone is proven to have broken a law, they should be prosecuted, but it will be based on facts and laws, not your nose.

See previous statements. The laws aren't based on your personal speculations and limited information, whether you like it or not.



That is a rather tired political spin. There is no proof that it was a "lie". Please don't express your ignorance by equating a conclusion with a motivation. The whole world believed there were weapons there. The Democrats believed it, the F-ing french believed it, Saddam wanted everyone to believe it. Was it a mistaken belief? Perhaps so. Was it a lie? That is nothing more than political bias.
