Ok, so I've been on the site now for a few days, made a few post, read alot of the thread and have learned just about zip. StabbinChick gave some good info about knife selection but that was about the most intelligent thread I've seen. Mostly what I've encountered has been smart aleck wannabe's who haven't got a clue what honor, loyaty, integrity or selflessness really mean. I've encountered profanity, drug use endorsement, and recklessness through out the forum and it disappoints me to think this is the current generation of Martial Artist. I won't be back on this forum. Good Luck.

Dig deeper. Besides being martial artists, and focusing on the technique, culture, physiology, psychology, social implications/behavioral awareness issues, practicality, kinesiology, medical implications, and legal aspects of the arts...we also have lives. The contributing members of this board are stand-up people with real lives and are honest and well meaning.

I may joke about drugs, because I've had to deal with them in my social life, having several friends O.D. or be imprisoned or institutionalized...this is how I cope with it, with a jaded and dark sense of humor (and also by being VERY aware of their workings and safe usage, as well as their history...naysaying all drug usage is a prime example of ignorance in the face of medical and psychological...and possible spiritual applications that they may lead us to...don't believe me, think about it next time you go to the dentist, or psychologist). In actuality, I am a straight A psychology student, avid martial arts/combat sports enthusiast, and, I'd like to think, a good friend to those around me who need it MOST.

Boarspear, Stabbychick, and KingoftheForrest are all top notch martial artists who are especially well versed in the practical and legal application of the martial arts...as well as a family.

Tant01 is also extremely well versed in the medical and legal implications... all these people do their homework well! (darrianation as well...I haven't chatted with him yet, but I've read over his posts...he served as a contractor and medic in Iraq.)

There are several FMA praticitioners and instuctors that work on the WORLD stage that post in the FMA section.

God...Look at Mike Brewer, I might not always agree with his stance on particular issues, but I'm always hardpressed to find a counterpoint, and he challenges some of my beliefs about current government policy and current events. On top of that, he's a remarkable martial artist, who is very, VERY well accomplished, and an awesome person in general, who's done an outstanding job serving his country.

Treelizard owns and operates an herb shop...I think...and offers excellent advice in every forum she posts in...

I am leaving out about ten others...but I think you get my point.

If you don't like our mix, that's fine, but to leave inflammatory, liablous, and hurtfull comments to all of us is extremely uncouth and cowardly.

You talk about integrity, who are you? What makes you think your better than these fine people that I've come to trust for advice on everything from martial arts to personal problems???

You talk about honor, but you take jabs at people you don't even know over the internet and a fake name, challenging their credibility, personal values, intellegence and character.

You sir, are an embarassment. How DARE you make these accusations and insults to my friends. Good fucking luck looking elsewhere, because you WILL not find a better group of people...and don't let the proverbial door crack your fat ass on the way out. Fucker.
