well Steve Irwin was swimming along Batt reef of the coast of Northern Queensland filming for a series called "the Oceans deadliest" when he swam too close to a stingray and was stung in the chest, the barb apparently pierced his heart. He died shortly after. IMO he was a great educator on animal life even though he did go to some extremes that I didnt think were too safe. Well Crikey y'all can't think of anything else to say.

Steve Irwin was obviously a great guy and he'll be sadly missed.



Perhaps somewhat innappropriate to say here, but I was watching the other guy, Austin Stevens the other night and wishing something would bite him fatally.
If only for the way he keeps going on about how his Martial Arts training keeps him out of trouble.
Makes me cringe.

I, too, was a big fan of his show. I feel particularly horrible for his wife and children. I had a good friend who lived on the edge. It finally did him in seven years ago. Irwin died doing what he loved, but I wish he would have taken less chances so his children would have had a father, and his wife could have grown old with him.

You were a crazy bastard you will be missed I always knew he'd get it in some obscure/wierd way.People who live their entire lives on the edge usually never get killed doing crazy shit the usually get it in some fluke way. Who gets stung in the heart buy a sting rays only 3 people iin the history of Austrailia have evr been kiild by sting rays WTF!!! The ways and laws of the univers are indded strange. Think of how many times over this guy could have been killed!! I's like when peolpe get killed just in country or one their last patrol in Iraq or Afganistan, think about the guy killed in somallia he survives Blackhawk Down then gets killed when a fucking mortar hits the mog airport where Taskforce Ranger is barracked. I think we were in the pulling out process by that point too, WTF with the universe.

how come good people like steve irwin and john ritter have to be taken from us so early while scum like osama bin laden and pat robertson get to live long and continue to spew their hatred and intolerance? i guess thats just the irony of life

Think of it like this:

Steve Irwin and John Ritter got to spend almost every minute being good people, enjoying life, love, happiness. They had careers they loved. People loved them, honored them, looked up to them. They had happy lives.

Osama and Pat robertson? I doubt they are really happy people. Deep down inside, they are sad, depressed, full of anger and hatred. A long life for them is like being in a prison of thier own invention. Dark, dank and very, very cold.
