look at this ecw tribute video. some of the stunts these guys performed were insane, and way more hardcore than anything that was on wwf and wcw at the time.

these guys destroyed their bodies to entertain fans. some of these guys str8 up broke their necks in the ring and still finished their matches

i remember one time sabu broke his jaw after missing a moonsault off the rope and slammed his face into a table. after he spit out a bunch of broken teeth and blood, he duct taped his head to keep his jaw in place and continued wrestling!!

Search for CZW and you will find guys that put their body on the line even more than ECW guys did/do

Examples are Cage of Death or Tournament of Death
