Default Seeking Truth About a Personal God

I would like to issue an invitation to anyone that considers themselves open minded and intellectually honest in their quest for the "Truth". I am going to post a link to download a book called, "Angels on Assignment". I am asking you to download it, read it and critique it. It is a book that changed my life many years ago, and made me realize there is a personal God who cares very much.

To anyone who actually reads it, and thinks it is ridiculous, you will get no argument from me. I feel it is too important not to share.

Mike: Thank you for your interest. Your Buddhist philosophy will get no disrespect from me. I was talking to one of the ladies at work today, and one of the topics of discussion was how I was one of the people who always shows respect to everyone in the workplace. We are all human beings before we put any labels on ourselves.

I understand the backlog on books to read too. I have so many I haven't gotten to.

The main points of Angels on Assignment are:

1) A pastor in Boise, ID received angelic visitations in the late 1970's.
2) The one who visited him most was Gabriel. There were also others.
3) The visitations were to share with men and women about God's great love for them.
4) The angels also shared the priorities that are closest to God's heart.
5) One of the Angels who accompanies Gabriel is a Warring Angel named Chrioni. When you read the discription of him, I don't think anyone would want to meet him in the octagon or in any other confrontation.
6) The pastor is halucinating, delusional, crazy, perhaps all three, or the visits were real.
7) I see no craziness in him, but that is for others to decide.
8) One of the main points is that God's care for individuals, and families is personal and eternal. God cares about our whole lives from the biggest to the smallest things.

Hope this helps and God bless.

I can also see the pattern there, now that you have pointed it out. I really don't know anything about it, but it seems that all those "el" endings could have some significance. It seems more than coincidental.

El means God in Hebrew. All those names have meanings. For example, Michael is broken down to the question Mi-cha-el, which means "Who is like God?" Rapha-el means "God has healed." Gabri-el means "hero of God." Uri-el means "Light of God" or "God's light."

In Hebrew, Oni means suffering. In fact, Benjamin (ben means son) was almost named Benoni, which means "son of my suffering," but luckily his father had better taste in names than his mother. Benjamin means son of my right hand (literally just right).

P.S. This isn't true for everyone with a name ending in el. For example, my name ends in -el, but it's not about God at all, but about this gal that killed a bad guy with a tent peg and a hammer. (It was a God-sanctioned war.)

Thanks for the insight treelizard.
