As you guys know life has sucked for me since I got permanatley injuried in 03 and can't fight/train in the proper manner anymore. Life has been pretty much a downward spiral being in a wheel chair 6 times, not leaving the house/going to school the entire year of 05 and the icing on the cake my july 3/4 dwi/steroid freak out which resulted in 3 days in jail, a trip to the phsyc ward, a gross misdameaner conviction, loss of licence and a 190 day suspended sentence/a year of probation.
I had pretty much give up on life and was not looking forward to turning 30 in a few days, then it happened, I met the most wonderful woman in the world. She's every thing I could ever hope for in a woman and unlike any woman I've ever been involved with. Once I heard her story I knew we'd be together for the rest of our life. We are so deeply in love it's not even funny. I thank god for bringing us together if going through all that was what it took to find her then it was all worth it. Thank you so much God. I hope everone has a safe and happy christmas I know I will.

Congratulations, Blue. There's nothing like finding someone who brings out the good parts in you after a tough time. I wish you the very best, with her and with your own demons. I know it can be hard, and I know that when an injury takes away your training, it can also take away your whole identity. But if training teaches us anything, it's that the way forward is to not only confront your own conflicts, but actively seek them out. What else is martial arts if not the seeking out and overcoming of conflict? Life gives us all the lessons we need, and no more. Be a warrior, and stay true to the values your training taught you, and you'll come through the other side stronger than ever. Especially if you've found someone to help keep you strong. I'm genuinely happy for you both, my friend.

GO GETTUM BLUE!!! There's that saying - behind every successful man is a strong and beautiful woman - and you've found her. Congrats. Keep your chin up (except in the ring )

Congrats on finding love. Every man deserves a good woman in his life. I used to give seminars every summer to MDA kids. They are kids who are confined to wheel chairs. These kids usually die before adulthood. Not once did I ever see one of those kids feeling sorry for themselves. Our seminars taught them basic self defense and self defense from their wheelchairs. Helen Keller was blind, deaf and dumb yet she because one of the worlds most motivational people. Do something profound like invent a wheelchair self defense system, train with a cane, invent self defense for those on crutches. Be positive and look at the glass as half full instead of half empty.
Again congrats on finding a good woman. I believe all the married guys here will agree that the hard part is keeping the woman; not finding her. Good luck and happy holidays.
