I really enjoyed the fight scenes from the movie, Kiss of the Dragon especially when he went up against the twins with the obvious Karate background. It was interesting how he used different tactics for each as he learned their fighting style.

Plenty of scenes. Great movie to bring up, ACP.

This is Tony Jaa's first film in America, before The Protector. Its not quite at the level of the Protector, but its great in its own right.

This is the Protector. Incredible movie. Tony Jaa has definitely raised the bar for action movies and has rivaled Jackie Chan by doing his own incredible stunts. I can't recommend this man's movies enough. Mike Brewer was dead on with this movie. I went out and bought it.
I'd have to say kick-ass Movie of The Year easily.

My grandfather is all into geneology... apparently he's traced roots going back to Atilla, Gen. Custer, Archie Broadwater, and a whole bunch of Hessian mercenaries on my dad's side.
Kind of disparaging and upsetting actually. Guess my native american friends might not like me so much if they knew that little tid-bit. God knows what kind of freaks (other than the immediate ones that fit the freaky bill) are on my mother's side of the family. |

I like this guy (Ben Foster)...he's been quickly type cast as a "psycho" for everything he's been in since he played Claire's boyfriend in "6 feet under"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgiQkrKZqrI ...and he kicks some serious ass in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICOHEVynL_o and...don't let the who's co-starring (Justin Timberlake is actually really...gulp...good, and shows some decent acting ability and depth) disuade you from seeing it. It is actually pretty goddamned moving and intense...which is sorta disappointing in a way because it challenges all of my heuristics regarding good taste. |
