MMA in of itself doesn't bother me...seeing it added to the Military was disgusting...watching people getting sucked into marketing hype is equally frustrating...listening to MMA fans smear every other art is what really turned me off..you're the Mormons of the martial art world...Few of you have any idea what the CMA's or any TMA is about yet you're all sure they suck...yet the lot of you couldn't muster even a half assed explanation of a soft style...If you dont know enough to even half assed explain it, you damn sure don't know enough about it to discuss its merits or faults and yet EVERY TMA or CMA thread has an MMA nutthugger disrupting ANY attempts at discussion...Why do I hate it? Because like religion it produced a bunch of moronic followers without the ability to see anything outside the little box prepared by the sheep herders.

I dont think 'mma' and the arts within it are the best, especially if youre trying to train for self defense. I agree that alot of people are being brain washed by the UFC into thinking that 'ultimate fighting' is the best fighting style lmao. But there's also alot of people, even mma fans that understand real fighting involves weapons, many people, element of suprise, etc... i think youre just being stereotypical of what mma fans think.

I dont see why having it in military training is negative. Its sort of like sparring, a drill. Its not like their gonna try to use it on the battlefield.

If the military is training it then wouldn't training for non-battlefield fights be wasting time. You could be training how to save your own life in that time, instead of playing a game.

That's a lesson I got to learn the easy way, some people never get that chance.
