One sunny day in 2009, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he had been sitting on a park bench.
He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton." The Marine replied, "Sir, Mrs. Clinton is not the President and doesn't reside here." The old man said, "Okay," and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton". The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mrs. Clinton is not the President and doesn't reside here." The man thanked him and again walked away. The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same Marine, saying, "I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton." The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mrs. Clinton. I have told you already several times that Mrs. Clinton is not the President and does not reside here. Don't you understand?" The old man answered, "Oh, I understand you fine, I just love hearing your answer!" The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow." |

Did ya get it yet?
Although the man seemed confused from the Marine's perspective, he was happy that Hillary wasn't President from his own perspective.

Funny one, though I think it is bit of a generic joke where you can change the players and scenery
a certain person at the office of the mayor or gouvernor or other office Off Topic I don't think the US as a whole is ready for a female president anyway and as far as a black president, I really can't say if you are up to that, also Obama is a bit young but very intelligent, but so was Kerry and see how that got him |

Honestly, Toudi, you're 'I hate America' shtick is tiresome and unoriginal.

Personally I agree we aren't ready. Hell we can't even get the rich and poor people in this country to get along much less other races.
Women's suffrage movement only happened in 1920 thats not even 100 years ago. And minorities in America are still treated poorly. The rich white population is NOT going to give power to a woman or a minority any time soon. And that's not an anti-America rant, thats just how it is. Unfortunate as it sounds "them's the facts". We are a racial and gender biased country as far as power goes and will continue to be so as long as we maitain our current social structure. As long as we have morally bankrupt leaders who out number and outrank the people with "our" interests in mind this will be. Ultimately it is our own faults for being complacent and just watching, now all we really can do is hang on for the ride, or flee like rats from a sinking ship. Mr. Brewer sorry for taking this off topic more but I just had to interject that into the off topic convo. I apologize in advance.

Allow me to take a somewhat Mike-esque point of view (minus 3-400 hundred words):
Have you seen the rest of the world lately? When you say we can't get the rich and poor to get along, I guess you mean compared to the rest of the world except South East Asia, China, the middle east, and pretty much all of Africa. Also France had some rich/poor/race related riots lately, Spain, Mexico, and much of South America. Russia, the Balkans... Come to think of it, just who are you comparing us too exactly? I agree the U.S. has problems, and we are in an identity crisis just now. I agree our social structure is and always will be a work in progress. If folks want to talk in terms of how to improve what we have, then I'm all for that. However; if you want some perspective on rich/poor/racial/nationalist troubles, I suggest you head on down to southern Mexico for a couple months and see how you like that (hint; try sneaking in their southern border and see how INS-Mexico works out for you)

I never said the rest of the world was any better. I only live here and I can only factually state what I see "here". I understand the rest of the world has problems too, but are they voting for our next President weather it be female, male, black or otherwise?
Nope, so they don't really factor into whats happening with our racial/gender views on leaders?
