Some guy gets called by a wrong number (in Korean) and this guy decides to stay on the line a little longer and tries to fake a generic Asian language...lol.

The Asian guy: He's saying he's from Korea? And speaks Korean? (Keeps saying Hangul). After he doesn't quite get what the other guy is saying, he eventually says he is Korea Jin (I guess he thinks the other guy is speaking Japanese)...lol...poor guy, but that's kind of funny when you think about it.
I don't know much Korean. Just a few words and phrases.

It takes alot of guts to learn another language and use it face-to-face with people who are native speakers, much less over the phone. On top of that, it puts you in the role of foreigner or representative.
Connecting with another person in their native language but with your own individual personality and ideas is one helluva experience. Getting to that point is humbling, huh....jubaji? Aseep?

I agree, I can speak a little bit of mandarin. But listening to native speakers, especially ones who live up north, I cannot understand, they speak waaaay too fast.

TY i agree completely. i jsut recently picked up a 3rd language... American Sign Language... very difficult especially when attempting to immerse yourself in their culture as well as language.

Japanese sign language is probably as different from American sign language as both spoken languages are. In addition to my native language (English), I've picked up two additional foreign langauges via school, another one from travel and bits and pieces of others from friends. I'm truly amazed and humbled by folks who can speak 5+ languages and fluently.

I find that the hardest part about Cantonese is that there is a lot of slang and that the way you talk and read the words is somewhat different. For instance, the plural form of "you" (Ni men-in mandarin). In Cantonese, when reading it's pronounced "lei men" but if I were to be having a conversation with you I would say "lei dei" instead (didn't know if you knew that already).

I didn't know that, thanks. My Cantonese is about the same level as my Korean and Japanese - just a few basic words and conversational phrases. I am a little better with Mandarin, I suppose.

That sounds like a silly question, but I know nothing about it. Thanks.
