Dick posting a link is bandwidth period especially an embeded link like a video window, including that link in your sig is x2 albeit still a small amount.

But those amounts add up when your across the globe, as some Defend.net members are, or don't happen to be fortunate enough to have a fast connect or a comp as good as yours, so try being more considerate of the members here.

Well they are not as bad as some of the big sigs or Flash sigs or moving gifs
these tend to slow your computer really
YouTube videos initially only load a bitmap as they need an extra click to start loading the video (In IE)
the flash/moving gifs always load and play continuous the more on a page the worse it gets

I think the problems only really there if he had posted 4 or 5 times on the same page. It was a polite thing to do to remove it for the benefit of others.
